The "third view of the city of potsdam from brauhausberg" by andreas ludwig krüger (1743-1822) after johann friedrich meyer (1728 - around 1789) starts where the "second view" in the east of the city left off. Below the hillside populated with staffage figures, the long bridge leads to the city-side bank of the havel. Slightly offset from the center of the picture, the tower of the holy spirit church, completed in 1728, dominates the city's silhouette. The old glienicke bridge can be seen across the mouth of the nuthe. On the eastern bank lies nowawes, built in 1750 by frederick ii as a settlement for bohemian settlers. The frederick church, named after its founder, on today's weberplatz, built between 1750 and 1753 by jan boumann the elder, completes the panoramic view of potsdam. Date: 1772. Dimensions: height: 53 cm (20.8 in); width: 68.3 cm (26.8 in). Medium: etching print. Collection: Potsdam Museum. Krüger - Dritte Ansicht auf die Stadt Potsdam vom Brauhausberg
