Left half: sketch of a part of the town with the landscape background, into which "plain" and "2's" are inscribed. Written on top: "the tops of the mountains are of a superb rose line- and the clouds back (?) above and before the mountains are more orange. Bottom: looking east at sunset 2 lower part of the mountains fine cool gray blue. Open sky. . Ing (?) to orange or green with reversed rasp more blue, with a snow peak the effect would have been superb cali july 53 right half, top, vertically: "a hut" caption: "cale - 53".
