Colour woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e. The kabuki actors bando shuka as oiso of nakanocho (left), and ichimura uzaemon xii in an unidentified role carrying a tree branch from which toys are hanging; both are standing at a gate, on the other side is nakamura utaemon iv as aoto fujitsuna holding a partially open fan; scene from the play 'aoto-banashi', performed at the ichimura theatre on the seventeenth day of the first month, kaei 2 (1849).
