oil on canvas; 107. 1 x 84. 1 cm. The sitter was the second son of john knatchbull and his wife anne sheaf. He was first cousin to sir norton knatchbull (see lot 105). He married firstly catherine, daughter of sir thomas boys of barfreston in kent, and secondly anne, daughter of william gibbons. Date: 1605.
