Full-length male nude, depicted standing, seen from behind, against a neutral background. The man keeps his left hand resting on his hip, while his right hand is bent at the elbow and his forearm is extended, the palm closed, except for the thumb and forefinger, which are spread apart. Placed in contraposto, with the head bent forward, the man rests his body weight on the right leg, while the left is flexed, with the knee brought slightly forward. The man has brown hair, cut short. Typical academic work, laborious execution. The color, conventionally treated, is maintained in dominant totalities of brown, dark green and ocher. The lighting, also conventional, emphasizes the constructive plastic values, the relief of the forms obtained through dense and clear-obscure, unshaded transversal. Signed, located and dated lower right, in reddish brown: "henţia paris 1873". Verso: handwritten notes: on chassis, in blue: ma 60; upper right, label written in ink: 60 s. Henţia/ male nude; on canvas, upper right, with dark blue, in border: p. 45; upper left, towards the middle, oval stamp: chabods suc de bovard. (further illegible). Art museum - cluj-napoca. Date: 1873.
