Illustration by poul steffensen from the danish novel gjøngehøvdingen by carit etlar which takes place during and after the dano-swedish war in 1657-1658. Ib abelsøn and his brother-in-law svend poulsen, gøngehøvdingen, at the end of the novel. Svend poulsen has gotten a letter from the king telling him that he has gotten the seat farm lundbygård as a reward for his services. Svend poulsen has somewhat mixed feelings about it knowing that they can get the high-ups to much but not loving them. Svend poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) was a real person and he actually did get lundbygård in 1661. The look of svend poulsen is fantasy however as there are no known portraits of him. Date: Original illustration from the 1890s, here reprint from 1909..
