Buitenrust House, The Hague, Anna Pavlovna of Russia, 1903

Scheveningseweg, the hague, buitenrust house, originally called hessenhof. It was built by landgrave philip of hesse-philippsthal early 18th century. In the nineteenth century it was the residence of queen-widow anna pavlovna romanova, daughter of the czar of russia and widow of king william ii of the netherlands. It was demolished in favor of the construction of the peace palace. Date: 1903.
