title not identified, author not identified, illustrated by utagawa kuniyoshi, late edo period (circa 1850's). Scanset of 1 volume (unknown if book is part of a series, or a single volume publication). Right & left pages each show a samurai warrior (male), with swords, but in casual dress. condition: both covers missing, 52 pages/26 leaves; unclear if any internal pages are missing, if so: more likely from front than back (fragments of rear cover remain in the binding, no traces of front cover are visible; existing pages appear to be contiguous. Pages are worn, stained, partially hand-coloured by a previous owner (colouring is not a part of the original, intended design, & does not follow standard conventions for costume colours of the characters).
