Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (1943-04-11) letter no. 156 (1943-04-13) next letter (1943-04-15) east, april 13, 1943. My dear mum! my heartfelt greetings and kisses again. Unfortunately there was no mail from you today, just a newspaper. I hope everything is ok with you? the post was delayed by [duah ???] packages, well tomorrow at 9 a. M. They will be distributing mail again, maybe there will be something there then. I hope you received my letters, including the two with the pictures? i gave the first one to someone on holiday, it would be quicker. - i'm still doing well. Yesterday i was lucky again and received the following extra provisions: 1 bar of chocolate 1 packet of biscuits, 20 dkg. Butter, a can of ½ kg apple sauce, 1 can of green beans, ½ kg semolina and ½ oat flakes, that's very nice, isn't it, we can really use that! we cooked ourselves some semolina soup today. Now i'm on call until midnight, the weather is nice now, the mud will dry away soon. Otherwise everything is the same old misery. How are you, my dear mother, are you well? what's new at home? say hello to all your friends from me. Greetings and kisses from the bottom of my heart, your hansl. Please send a few envelopes and writing paper! Date: 13 April 1943.
