Illustrirten zeitung, number 3538, one hundred and thirty-sixth volume, from april 20, 1911, with the title hannover und grenzgebiete; four-color print on the somewhat firmer paper "back cover" with a full-page advertisement for the hannoversche gummi-kamm co. Ag, graphically designed in the style of a poster print. Under the almost expressionistically sketched depiction of the rubber processor's factory building at the time in the triangle of wunstorfer strasse with the waterways stichkanal hannover-linden and leineabstiegskanal, there is a list of the products manufactured by the entrepreneur. The following are listed as “special products: excelsior auto pneumatic velo / surgical hard and soft rubber articles / gloria rubber sponges / rubber figures, play balls / hanover guarantee combs”. Also graphically depicted next to the excesior logo are the trademark with the hanoverian three-leaf clover, a rubber “bottle” called “excelsior douche”, toy figures (dolls) and a gloria brand comb, under which the artist signature of the graphic artist änne koken can be found. At the foot of the advertisement, the imprint of the illustrirten zeitung is reproduced in fine print: “responsible for the editorial department: otto sonne, for the advertising section ernst meckel, both in leipzig. Publication, printing and publishing by jj weber in leipzig. Responsible for publication and editing in austria-hungary: robert mohr in vienna i- — no responsibility is accepted for unsolicited submissions to the editorial department. ” — the sheet is approximately din a3 in size. After scanning, it was optically reworked electronically and trimmed at the edges to stay below the maximum size of 100 megabits per uploaded file, but can still be offered as a digital gift to everyone in the highest possible quality. The entire original booklet was donated to the gottfried wilhelm leibniz library - lower saxony state library, director georg ruppelt, on december 9, 2014, after it had been completely digitized and - step by step - made fully available to everyone via commons. The donation is intended to put the original in the right, "good hands" and to further expand mutual cooperation. Thanks to stephan mielke from the hanover guelphen kabinett antiquariat for his support in the form of a huge discount, thanks to the friends of hanover for providing the din a3 scanner and the constant support for the expansion of wikipedia, and thanks also to the many unnamed contributors for the benefit of the general public, including the helpers in and around the wikipedia office in hanover. Date: 20 April 1911.
