In their 1918 publication of the atlas der baumarten von java, koorders & valeton labelled this drawing as ficus truncata miq. , a name which is now considered illegitimate and a synonym of ficus retusa l. The confusion was later disentangled by e. J. H. Corner (taxonomic notes on ficus linn. , asia and australasia, the gardens' bulletin, singapore vol. Xvii, 1959). See also:
