Statue of artemis of the seville-palatine type. Roman artwork, 1st–2nd centuries ce, copy of the neo-manierist style of the late 5th century bc, pentelic marble. Artemis is identified by her clothes: himation (coat) thrown over the left shoulder and girded around the waist, chiton (tunic) rolled up for running. Dimensions: H. 77 cm (30 ¼ in.).
