Iconographic description:
dupin's head, immense, is at the top of the mill which grinds grain symbolizing french money. Miller boys with donkey heads (and human bodies), embodying the ministry, are responsible for transporting the grain from the mill to the baskets of the collectors and state councilors, who are represented in the form of donkeys with human heads at the foot of the mill. The latter feed on thistles bearing the name of the products on which taxes are taken from the people. In the sky fly birds representing the newspapers relaying the ideas of the july monarchy, these being fattened by taxpayers' money. Person / character depicted:
