This image is based on a passage from the tosa diary: "we saw the moon at the edge of a mountain, but it rose from the waves and went down in the waves. " with one poem: "as we watch, the waves come and go, like fragrant spring flowers in the moonlight. " this print is a copy from the late meiji period (1868-1912).
