Svend poulsen, gøngehøvdingen, walks home from jungshoved castle after a meeting with the lady-in-waiting julie parsberg. The two has been i love but now julie parsberg has rejected him. Svend poulsen regrets himself, his hope and his yearning after her. Svend poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) was a real person but the story is fiction.
