Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (1943-09-04) letter no. 186 (1943-09-07) next letter (1943-09-13) [we want to ask our lord to keep us healthy and that this terrible war will soon come to an end. - how are you? i'm thinking of you a lot. Wr. Neustadt [wiener neustadt] was attacked; hopefully our wonderful vienna will be left in peace. If the alarm goes off, please go straight to the basement so i don't have to worry! what else is new at home? what is poldi writing? i don't have any registration stamps. If you want to send me something, please send me cigarettes! i've got enough to eat, and that's fine too. Now vacationers are coming back again and we're telling them about our lovely homeland. How wonderful it was at home. Well, the time will come again! otherwise i can't tell you anything new, it's always the same old story. Again, don't worry too much, it won't get any better. Best wishes and kisses from your hansel. Date: 7 September 1943.
