Note on negative sleeve: beljika view man with rifle. Taken from mount beljica, a 5,486-ft. Peak a mile west of the mount rainier national park boundary five miles northeast of ashford in southeast pierce county. The first name was beljacka mountain and was named by a pioneer settler named mesler who used the initials of the first names of his children and some of their friends who went on a hike on the mountain in july, 1897.
