This hand-coloured engraving of primula elatior, the oxlip, was included in volume 9 of "icones plantarum medico-oeconomico-technologicarum", which was published in vienna in 1819. Drawings and engravings in "icones plantarum" were worked on by cartographic engraver ignaz alberti, who carried on with the publication after vietz's death. Date: 1819.
