Accidents and old restorations the livery worn by the two figures on the left of the composition makes it possible to identify the model with great probability. However, it was not possible for us to identify the castle. By its format and its composition, we can compare our painting to the series kept at the chaalis museum which includes the capture of cambrai, valenciennes, the crossing of the rhine and the city of namur.
