In the center of the composition is mary lying on the bed, with her hands together, placed on her chest, surrounded by the apostles. All are standing except one who, kneeling, appears to the left of the virgin in a praying attitude. The virgin wears a red tunic and is covered with a white mantle with pink flowers.
