This print reproduces a famous painting which was exhibited during the world fair, and which represents the famous physician charcot giving a lecture on hysteria. Charcot was a very renowned professor, and specialized in mental diseases and hysteria in particular. He taught the young sigmund freud, among many others. In this image the hysterical woman is fainting in the arms of charcot's colleague, while the professor, standing next to her, is giving his lecture. Dimensions: 30.3 x 44 cm. Medium: engraving.
