Last moments of emperor maximilian of mexico before his execution, querétaro (mexico), june 19, 1867. — at about 6:30 a. M. , colonel palacios and the seven men of the firing squad come to collect maximilian, who is dressed in black and wears the golden fleece around his neck. He bids farewell to father soria and goes out to go to the place of execution. Date: 1883.
