FFM Sandhof J.F. Morgenstern 1810, Johann Friedrich Morgenstern, circa 1810
The sandhof was a manor house in the dreieich wilderness near frankfurt am main, first mentioned in documents in 1193. The farm was owned by the teutonic order for around 600 years. The manor house pictured was built around 1750. The buildings were badly damaged in the second world war and later demolished. The former location of the sandhof is now on the grounds of the university hospital in frankfurt am main. Date: circa 1810.
