Coloured plate 1 from the definitive twelve views of moscow by de la barthe. This is the northern half of present-day red square, looking to north-west. The kremlin wall (and adjacent fortifications, later demolished) on the left is obscured by a shopping arcade building. The arcade was later demolished, too, making way for present-day open space.
