the table of contents of the 4th vol. Of “la caricature” brings clarification to the title: “(promotion of 60 peers)”. Louis-philippe, on the left, pushes with a broom towards d'argout's shovel figurines representing the peers of france ready to be thrown into the cart which will take them to the "palais du luxembourg". Soult, to the right, throws some with his shovel. The men are dressed as carters. A pear is in the bottom corner. Right. The pl. Denounces the appointment of sixty peers from france. The title plays on the resemblance between the words “abduction” and “uplift. ”
