The cottage was located in fägerhult in södra unnaryd parish, västbo district, finnveden, småland, sweden. The cottage was, when the book was written, empty and unused. On page 23 the dimensions of the cabin are described: "the building is 56 feet long, of which 25 feet come on the cabin itself, the side walls of which are 5 feet 8 inches high. The height of the loft buildings to the eaves is between 11 and 12 feet, their width the same as the cabin, or 19 feet. ". Date: 1874.
