Giovanni folo's calcographia engraving reproduces titian's painting “danaë,” 1545-1546 (museo di capodimonte, inv. No. Q 134). Folo was known for engraving after titian and completed this plate in 1832, having had access to the oil painting in naples since 1815. Date: published 1832.
