Ops a rare early photograph of one of the first great american movie stars greta garbo, as a young schoolgirl (then greta gustafson). It is one of a collection of 15 photographs which fetched £2,750 at sotheby's auction on july 19th 1990. Born in 1905, she was the pioneering actress of the 1920s and 30s, making her most celebrated as the seductive spy mata hari in the movie masterpiece of the same name, in 1931. Date: circa 1923.
