Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 216, March 1917

216. Ring from a cross, made in dogwood of bronze; the cross is four-winged, its lower wing being the largest, the upper smaller, and both trapezoidal, with their narrow side facing the center of the cross; the two lateral wings are smaller and square. The cross is glued with its upper end to a horizontal stick, which divides the cross into two unequal sections, and with its lower end to the ring itself. The dimensions of the ring: outer diameter b cm, thickness 7 mm; at the waist: height 3 cm, width 2 cm and thickness 2 mm. The ring is hung on the horns of the buffalo around dranovo to protect against evil. From the collection of iv. Enchev-vidyu. Sketched in march 1917. (item 3, obr. 11. ). Date: March 1917.
