Emil hannover wrote in his 1898 book that eckersberg made three versions of this view, no. 198-200. The first two were sold, but this one (no. 200) was kept by eckersberg. No. 198 was bought by bertel thorvaldsen and is now at thorvaldsens museum, and although of similar size, it features fewer people in the background. See "other versions". Object Type: painting.
