View of the building of sapienza, historic site of the university of rome, today site of the state archive (1 in the image). Inside the building is located the chapel of ss. Fortunato and leone alla sapienza whose characteristic dome is visible in the picture (2). Currently this church is dedicated to sant'ivo. From this particular view, it is possible to see the cupola of sant'agnese in navona today sant'agnese in agone. The palazzo dei signori cenci (3 in the image) is the modern palazzo maccarani stati.
