Oil on canvas, 72 x 57. 5 cm. Painting by alexander roslin (1718-1793). Compare with roslin's larger-format portrait of count panin seated at a desk dated 1777, in the collections of the pushkin museum, moscow. With label written in russian, the translation reads:
