Large landscape with pure lines. Paper, 245x118cm. Executed in jing-er-gong-bo-shui-xie, dated early autumn 1846, signed. The painting is creased and must be reassembled. A majestic piece, of striking originality; the brush deliberately seeks to imitate the engraver's burin, to produce a print effect; this research, extended to such an imposing scale, creates an effect that is all the more surprising. Date: 1846.
