"chinese priests and monks", drawn by the dutch visitors in 1655-1658. According to lach & kley (1993), the leftmost sitting person wears the headgear of a mongol lama; the sitting person in the middle, with a big hat, holds a muyu ("wooden fish"). The standing man on the right, with beads, is a buddhist priest. The other two standing people may be buddhist monks. Date: Published in German edition in 1666, presumably reproduced from the 1665 Dutch edition. Must have been originally drawn during the expedition, in 1655-1658.
