159. Nürnberger Hof (Nuremberg Court), (Entrance at the old Market)., 1901

The outer entrance gate to the nuremberg court is located in the previously mentioned corner. The nuremberg court itself can only be reached through the archway supporting a branch building, the vault of which shows graceful gothic ribs between the gates, which end with coats of arms where they meet. The picture of the inner courtyard and its buildings, as well as further details about them, can be found in the text in volume iii for picture no. 34 of this work. We must mention here, however, that the "nuremberg court" has completely lost its former appearance as a result of the breakthrough of braubachstrasse in 1904, and the main building, in which german princes once stayed, jacob heller lived with his wife, and albrecht dürer socialized, has been demolished. But the needs of the times have also made huge breaches in the other buildings. Date: 1901. Dimensions: reproduction: height: 21.5 cm (8.4 in); width: 15.7 cm (6.2 in), original: unknown. Medium: collotype print. Collection: Private collection Mylius.
