Ichikawa danjuro viii as okabe rokuyata in a yellow, brown, and light blue robe holding over his head a black lacquered foot soldier's helmet (jingasa) decorated with a red lacquer sun, in the play 'ichinotani musha no iezuto' (一谷武者画土産 ) performed at the kawarasaki theatre in the eighth month of kaei 2 (1849).
