The four magistrates of besançon; four men in fine clothing, turning towards one another, seated in a row on carved high-backed chairs on a podium, under a canopy with a large crest on the pelmet and shields where drapes are gathered at the sides, an ornate textile at the back of the podium with the words: "pius oultra" and a carpet running from the podium to the floor. 1825 lithograph.
