John Hardy (1773-1855), Henry William Pickersgill, before 1855

Engraving of john hardy mp, (1773-1855), of dunstall hall, staffordshire, england. He was mp for bradford 1832-1837, and 1841-1847. He was a solicitor, and a partner in the low moor ironworks, bradford, west yorkshire, having inherited his share from his father john hardy (1744-1806). His wife was elizabeth gathorne, and he was father of sir john hardy, charles hardy, gathorne gathorne-hardy who became lord cranbrook, and nine daughters. Date: before 1855.
