I took this photograph of the gravestone of charles wellington furse (1868-1904) in the churchyard of st peter's church, frimley today. The gravestone bears the full quatrain ending 'one crowded hour of glorious life is worth and age without a name' by mordaunt written in the european seven years' war. The lettering on the gravestone was difficult to read so i have enhanced it slightly using photoshop (i simply used a brightness/contrast adjustment layer with a mask which applied the effect only to the lettering - the letters now have higher contrast).
