Wildensteiner Altar Drehflügel links innen, Master of Messkirch, circa 1536

Wildenstein altar, left hinged wing inside, kneeling donor count gottfried werner von zimmern with coat of arms. Gottfried werner is depicted in full armor. The coat of arms is still baronial and without a crest, but the inscription is painted over and gottfried werner is referred to as a count. He was elevated to the rank of count in 1538.
