Plates 271/272, no 131; satire showing a cabinet of natural history, consisting of several animals with human heads displayed on a shelf and on the wall; each is identified by a label bearing a mock latin name; the heads are caricatures of politicians of the time, notably dupin (snake), madier de montjau (wading bird), montalivet (oyster), kératry (billy goat), sébastiani (sloth), rigny (seal); at centre, a man on a step ladder is about to nail a human-headed bat on the wall. 9 may 1833 hand-coloured lithograph.
