Knighthood diploma from franz joseph i (emperor of austria, 1830-1916) for carl von czadek (born 1831 krchleb, bohemia), who had rendered outstanding services to the design, production and procurement of the artillery material "m. 1875". Issued in vienna on september 4, 1878, handwritten signature of the emperor and the prime minister prince adolph von auersperg. 4 sheets of parchment, colored coat of arms painting by carl boess, partly gold-highlighted lettering on ornamental-heraldic lithographic print. Purple velvet cover with gold-embossed double-headed eagle, approx. 39 x 29 cm, attached imperial wax seal in gold-plated brass capsule, all in a zinc case. Next to it is a cardboard lidded box with a lacquer seal impression of the signet (approx. 25 x 23 mm) with the coat of arms of carl ritter on czadek. Date: 4 September 1878.
