demolition of the couvent des cordeliers, 1st arrondissement. In the background, view of the nave being dismantled, the facade wall is still present. One of the aisles is shown with its high windows; above, we can see a wooden vault and the roof frame. The scene includes several characters: on the left a woman plays with a child, while a man next to her seems to be talking to a dog. On the right, a cart with a man hoisting a beam. Further to the right, a man pushes a wheelbarrow, seen from behind. In the right corner two figures, one seated holding a canvas bag in his hand, another holding a stick.
