Din distracţiile vilegiaturei ("some of the joys in traveling"), cartoon published in furnica, the romanian satirical magazine. It depicts a dialogue between a female traveling alone and a stereotypically jewish hotel proprietor. Domnule şmil, ce 'nsemnează asta?. Mi-ai luat cinci lei pe odae şi toată noaptea n'am putut dormi din cauza ploşniţelor! ("mr. Shmil, what is this supposed to mean?. I paid you five lei for the room and i was not able to sleep a wink on account of the bedbugs!")purdon, chicoană. Aşa merji negostoria! puntru cinci franci ai dumitale iu nu puteam dija să cheltuiesc zeci franci cu prafuri di umorât insecte! ("vy, madam. Dat is de business! fer dose five lei you gave me, i could not heyv shpent ten on insect killing poyder!"). Date: 13 August 1909.
