letter - on the front, at the bottom, inscription printed in black ink: "vüe de chambor, maison royal de france, in blesois, three or four leagues from blois, near orléans. King françois i. Had it started a little before his death, and king henry ii had it completed. Chambord is located in the middle of a large park, on the edge of the small cousson river, which surrounds it almost all. Four large pavilions make up the body of the castle, having in the middle an admirable staircase made of shell, with two rises inside one of the other, where several people can climb without seeing each other, although they can speak together.
