comparison with e 13778 (drawing from 1830, classified as anonymous gc attributed to the author): rue des prouvaires and saint-eustache facade, cf. More detailed watercolor by t. Boys: card06066; engraving from 1833 in the british museum (london). The market was inaugurated in 1818 and was replaced in 1860 by the new halles. The artist was director of the sèvres factory in 1846, of that of beauvais in 1876. He was an officer of the legion of honor in 1867. Cf.
