A shy young woman hides her mouth and lower face behind a fan which is ornamented with a design incorporating foliage, berries & flowers. Volume i contains volumes iii and iv, published 1888. Volume iii illustrated with eight colour plates, volume iv illustrated with twenty-six plates, many of which are colour.
