Depicts the conversation of caroline and the countess, when the countess was dressing for breakfast and caroline told her that evan had incurred public disgrace. The countess (front) has collapsed on the bed in shock, with her hair coming unpinned, but she is putting her appearance back together to go down to breakfast nonetheless, and is convincing caroline to show her face too.
