Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 652, 22 April 1921

652. A. Cross - tombstone, in the courtyard of the church "st. Petka" in the village of belchin, samokovsko, roughly carved out of gray sandstone before the russo-turkish war, around 1860 (a priest was buried under it - according to the testimony of the old and present priest). Four-winged; the upper wing is large and trapezoidal, the lower one four-sided, with a niche for candles; the side ones are small and four-sided. The upper wings end with an apple each. A cross is carved on its face - eight-winged, in the middle is a relief bud. The reverse side [is] with an engraved st. Andrew's cross. Dimensions: 52x70x13 cm. Sketched on 22. Iv. 1921. (item 10, obr. 31. ). Date: 22 April 1921.
