Nine portraits of ichikawa danjuro viii; the first seven are from the play 'date kurabe okuni kabuki' (伊達競阿国戯場), the other two are from the play 'kanjincho' (勧進帳), both produced at the kawarasaki theatre in the third month of kaei 2 (1849).
